This technology combines all the advantages of face to face interpreting and accessibility of telephone interpreting.

Simultaneous interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting This type of interpreting is used at conferences, for large meetings where the interpreter works with headsets and interprets at the same time as the speaker is speaking.

Simultaneous Whisper

This type of interpreting is useful when there is a small group who the interpreter will sit next to and interpret for at the same time as speaker but in a whispering tone.

Consecutive Interpreting The Interpreter works alongside the speaker interpreting when the speaker finishes. This is used for Business meetings, conferences and in client/ practitioner situations.

Our interpreters offer three-way or more telephone conversation. British Sign Language Interpreters

British Sign Language InterpretersAround 50,000 people in the country use British Sign Language (BSL). It is a rich and complex visual language with its own grammar and idioms and is quite different from spoken languages. It uses precise handshakes, lip movements, facial expressions, gestures and body movement to convey meaning. Sign language interpreters pass messages from deaf BSL users to English and vice versa. They listen or watch the message, extract the meaning and then find the appropriate way to express the message in the other language.

All our BSL interpreters are DBS cleared, have attained a minimum of NVQ level 6 in interpreting BSL, are registered with ASLI and adhere to their code of conduct.

Transcription services

Transcription servicesA to Z Interpreting offer a fast and professional audio transcription service converting spoken language into written form

We appoint transcribers that specialize in your subject matter to type out word for word what is being spoken.

Each recording is transcribed by an experienced transcriber and then checked by a second linguist for accuracy and completeness. If there are any words, spellings or phrases that are unclear these are placed in square brackets for the clients verification.

We accept transcription via electronic files, CD, DVD mini micro and standard cassettes. Completed transcripts are returned via email, cd or hardcopy in accordance with our clients specification and time scale.

Out Of Hours Service

Out Of Hours ServiceA to Z interpreting can offer a very comprehensive and competitive 24hr service and can accommodate the extended GP surgery hours or that late night call to the police station.
